Step 1: Business or Business Plan

Your journey to set up an MSME starts with your having a business you would like to expand to DUT or opening a new business in which case you shall have a business plan.

Step 2: Email Express Your Interest to sme@dut.or.ke

State the type of business you would like to open or expand to DUT. If you shall require land, state the land required. If only space required, state rent space.

Step 3: DUT MSME department will respond and the MSME setup process will start

The process will include:

1. DUT Requirements where MSME will be allocated land.
2. Products & Services market (For business selling products to residents and university.)
3. The Environment Requirements (NEMA SEA and EIA).
4. The Building Draft plan
5. The Water, Power and Other utilities.

Step 4: MSME Agreement

The MSME agreement will be signed.

Other documents will follow as per Step 3.

Step 5: Land Design, EIA & Others

The process set in step 3 shall follow.
